A tour to discover the history of this transalpine pass located at an altitude of 2188 metres above sea level, exposed to the elements (very strong wind and snow), a place of passage frequented for over three thousand years.
The remains are numerous and tell us the story of the men who crossed it the cromlech or circle of Hannibal, the Roman road (linking Rome to Vienna) the foundations of the mansio (Roman stopover), the Joux column, the Chanousia garden (botanical garden), the hospice.
